Terms of Service
Parsons Green & Bloom Limited (company number 17160418), trading as Parsons Green and Bloom ("we", "us", "our"), registered office 11/12 Hallmark Trading Centre, Fourth Way, Wembley, HA9 0LB.
1. Scope and Acceptance
These terms apply to every online pre-order for a Christmas tree placed with us. By placing a pre-order through our website, you agree to be bound by these terms. They apply alongside our general website terms of use and privacy policy.
These terms are for consumers ordering a Christmas tree for personal, non-business use. If you are ordering on behalf of a business, different terms may apply and you should contact us before ordering.
2. Pre-Orders, Availability and Substitution
Christmas trees are sold on a pre-order basis ahead of the delivery season. Stock is seasonal and subject to availability from our suppliers; placing a pre-order does not guarantee a specific tree, variety, size or shape until we send you an order confirmation.
We will confirm your order by email once it has been accepted. We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order (for example, if a variety sells out, pricing was listed in error, or we're unable to fulfil the requested delivery window) and will notify you as soon as reasonably possible, with a full refund where payment has already been taken.
If your chosen variety or size becomes unavailable before delivery, we will contact you to offer either a reasonable substitute of equivalent or greater value at no extra cost, or a full refund. We will not substitute without first trying to contact you.
3. Pricing and Payment
All prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT where applicable. Delivery charges, if applicable, are shown separately at checkout before you complete your order.
Payment is taken in full at the time of placing your pre-order, via our website's payment provider. We do not store your card details. Prices are correct at the time of publication but may change; the price confirmed at checkout is the price you pay.
4. Delivery
We deliver within [delivery area, e.g. SW6 and surrounding South-West London postcodes using our own delivery team. Orders within the SW6 postcode qualify for our standard free delivery offer; orders outside this area may incur a delivery charge which will be shown at checkout.
During the Christmas period, trees are delivered within a confirmed delivery window rather than an exact time, due to seasonal demand. We will contact you in advance to confirm your delivery date and any access requirements (for example, entry codes, parking restrictions or stairs).
Please ensure someone is available to receive the tree or provide clear instructions for a safe drop-off location. Risk in the tree passes to you on delivery. If a delivery cannot be completed due to no one being available and no safe drop-off being possible, we will contact you to rearrange, and a re-delivery charge may apply.
5. Cancellations and Your Right to Cancel
You may cancel or amend your pre-order free of charge up to 14 days before your confirmed delivery date by contacting us. After this point, cancellation may not be possible as trees are ordered and cut to meet confirmed demand.
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, online consumer purchases normally carry a 14-day right to cancel. Because Christmas trees are a perishable, seasonal product that we source and cut to fulfil your specific order, this statutory right may not apply once your tree has been cut or is approaching delivery — [to be confirmed with legal advice before publishing; this is a common exemption for perishable/made-to-order goods but should be verified for your specific business model].
If your tree arrives damaged, significantly different from what was ordered, or is otherwise faulty, you have the right to a replacement, repair or refund under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 — see Section 6.
6. Tree Condition and Care
As a natural product, each tree varies in exact shape, size, colour and needle density; reasonable natural variation from photographs is not a fault. Approximate heights are given at checkout, with a normal tolerance of +/− [e.g. 15cm].
On delivery, please inspect your tree. If it arrives damaged, significantly undersized, or not as described, contact us within [48 hours] of delivery with photos, and we will arrange a replacement or refund.
To keep your tree fresh: re-cut the base by 2–3cm before placing it in water, keep it away from direct heat sources, and check the water level daily — a fresh-cut tree can absorb a significant amount of water in its first days indoors. We are not responsible for needle drop or drying caused by inadequate watering, heat exposure, or prolonged storage before the tree is set up.
7. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else which cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Subject to this, our liability for any order is limited to the price paid for that order.
We are not liable for delays or failure to deliver caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including adverse weather, courier disruption, or supplier shortages, though we will keep you informed and offer a rearranged delivery or refund where a delay is significant.
8. Data Protection
We use the personal and delivery details you provide (name, address, contact details) only to process and deliver your pre-order, and to contact you about it. As trees are delivered by our own team, we do not share your delivery details with a third-party courier. We do not sell your data to third parties. See our full privacy policy at [link to privacy policy] for how we store and protect your information, and your rights under UK GDPR.
9. Governing Law and Contact
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
For any questions about your order, please contact us at [contact email] or [contact phone number].
